Indramayu es una ciudad de regencia en la costa norte de Java Occidental, en la Pantura (la carretera y franja costera del norte de Java). It's also home to the big Balongan refinery (Pertamina), the area's industrial engine. Offshore, Pulau Biawak island, with its colonial-era lighthouse and monitor lizards, is the best-known nature escape.
