It's a classic Route 66 stop, with its historic strip of motels and neon signs, and home to two roadside icons: Cadillac Ranch (a row of Cadillacs buried nose-down that people paint) and the Big Texan Steak Ranch, with its 72-ounce steak challenge. Half an hour away is Palo Duro Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the United States.
