Gebze es una ciudad industrial de la provincia de Kocaeli, en el extremo oriental del gran Estambul, asomada al golfo de İzmit, en el mar de Mármara. Se vive como ciudad de trabajo bien conectada con Estambul.Gebze is an industrial city in Kocaeli Province, at the eastern edge of Greater Istanbul, looking onto the Gulf of İzmit on the Sea of Marmara. It's one of Turkey's major manufacturing hubs, packed with large organized industrial zones and research centers like TÜBİTAK MAM and Gebze Technical University. It carries a historical footnote too: ancient Libyssa, where tradition holds Hannibal died. It feels like a working city, well connected to Istanbul.
