It's not an old town but modern, green Vienna: here you'll find the Donauinsel, the long artificial island between the river's two arms where locals swim, run and cycle; the Alte Donau, a former meander turned recreational lake; and the UNO City, the UN's seat, beside the glass towers of Donau City. At its edge opens the Donau-Auen national park.
