Bogura

Bogura (antes Bogra) es una ciudad del norte de Bangladés, en la división de Rajshahi, a orillas del río Karatoya. La llaman la capital del norte por su papel como nudo comercial y agrícola de la región. Su gran carta es la historia: a pocos kilómetros está Mahasthangarh, la ciudad urbana más antigua conocida del país, la antigua Pundranagar. Y su gran carta gastronómica es el doi, el yogur dulce cuajado por el que Bogura es famosa en toda Bangladés. Calurosa, húmeda y bulliciosa, es una parada real, no turística.Bogura (formerly Bogra) is a city in northern Bangladesh, in Rajshahi division, on the banks of the Karatoya river. It's called the capital of the north for its role as a commercial and agricultural hub. Its big draw is history: a few kilometres away sits Mahasthangarh, the oldest known urban site in the country, the ancient Pundranagar. Its big culinary draw is doi, the sweet set yogurt Bogura is famous for across Bangladesh. Hot, humid and busy, it's a real working stop, not a tourist one.
