Neuss

Neuss está en Renania del Norte-Westfalia, en la orilla izquierda del Rin, justo enfrente de Düsseldorf. It's one of Germany's oldest cities — it began as the Roman camp of Novaesium and still carries that two-thousand-year past. Its landmark is the Quirinus Minster, an imposing late-Romanesque collegiate church from the 13th century. It also holds one of Europe's largest inland ports. But what Neuss is truly famous for among Germans is its Schützenfest, the world's largest marksmen's festival, which floods the town with parades every August. With Düsseldorf one bridge away, it works as a quiet Lower Rhine base.
