A media hora en tren de Hannover, funciona perfecto como excursión de un día.Hildesheim is one of those German cities almost nobody has on their radar, yet it holds two UNESCO World Heritage churches: St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Michael's, masterpieces of Ottonian art. In the cathedral garden grows the famous thousand-year rose, which legend says is over a millennium old and survived the 1945 bombing. The rebuilt Marktplatz, lined with half-timbered houses, is among the most photogenic squares in northern Germany. Half an hour by train from Hanover, it works perfectly as a day trip.
