Es más ciudad de vivir y trabajar que de turismo: se llega en minutos desde Madrid en Cercanías o Metro, y funciona como una de las grandes ciudades dormitorio y polos de empleo del sur madrileño, con su equipo de fútbol, el Getafe CF, en Primera División.Getafe is a city in the southern Madrid metropolitan area, in the Community of Madrid, with a strong industrial, university, and aeronautical character. Here stands the Cerro de los Ángeles, traditionally considered the geographic center of the Iberian Peninsula, and the campus of Universidad Carlos III. It's more a place to live and work than to tour: minutes from Madrid by Cercanías train or Metro, it functions as one of the big commuter cities and job hubs of southern Madrid, with its football club, Getafe CF, in the top flight.
