Es también tierra de tortas curicanas y el acceso al Radal Siete Tazas, donde el río Claro esculpió siete pozones turquesa encadenados en la precordillera.Curicó is the gateway to the Maule wine valley and one of the capitals of Chilean wine: Miguel Torres planted his flag here in the late seventies, and every autumn the Fiesta de la Vendimia harvest festival fills the Plaza de Armas — one of Chile's prettiest squares, with its wrought-iron bandstand and rows of palms. It's also the home of tortas curicanas and the access point to Radal Siete Tazas, where the Río Claro carved seven chained turquoise pools in the Andean foothills.
