It was Longcheng, capital of states during the Sixteen Kingdoms period (the old Yan), and it keeps the North Pagoda (Beita), of medieval origin. Its modern fame is paleontological: the surrounding area is part of the Jehol Biota, with fossils of feathered dinosaurs and early birds that rewrote evolutionary history. It's a destination of history and fossils, not nomad life.
