Bello no es una escapada aparte de Medellín: es el extremo norte del Valle de Aburrá, pegado a la capital antioqueña y conectado con ella por la línea A del Metro, que termina justo aquí. Está en tierra templada andina, sobre los 1.400 metros, así que el clima es de primavera todo el año, sin estaciones marcadas. Es una ciudad de origen textil e industrial, densa y trabajadora, cuna del poeta y expresidente Marco Fidel Suárez. Si te alojas por precio y usas el Metro para bajar a Medellín, Bello es la puerta norte del valle.Bello isn't a day trip away from Medellín — it's the northern end of the Aburrá Valley, fused to the Antioquia capital and linked to it by Metro Line A, which terminates right here. It sits in the temperate Andes at around 1,400 meters, so the weather is spring-like all year with no real seasons. It's a textile and industrial town, dense and working-class, birthplace of the poet and former president Marco Fidel Suárez. If you stay here for the price and ride the Metro down into Medellín, Bello is the valley's northern gateway.
