Arganzuela es un distrito del centro-sur de Madrid, entre el río Manzanares y la estación de Atocha. Fue zona industrial y ferroviaria —de ahí el antiguo Matadero y las estaciones de Delicias— y hoy es uno de los barrios que mejor ha sabido reinventarse. Su columna vertebral es Madrid Río, el gran parque lineal que ganó las orillas del Manzanares tras enterrar la M-30. Con el Matadero convertido en centro cultural, el Museo del Ferrocarril y una vida de barrio muy madrileña, es un rincón cómodo, bien comunicado y sin agobio turístico.Arganzuela is a district in central-southern Madrid, between the Manzanares River and Atocha station. It was industrial and railway land—hence the old Matadero slaughterhouse and the Delicias stations—and today it's one of the neighborhoods that has reinvented itself best. Its backbone is Madrid Río, the great linear park that reclaimed the Manzanares banks after the M-30 ring road was buried. With the Matadero turned cultural center, the Railway Museum, and a very Madrileño neighborhood life, it's a comfortable, well-connected corner without tourist crush.
