San Miguel del Padrón es uno de los municipios de La Habana, en la zona sureste de la capital cubana. Es sobre todo residencial y trabajador, sin el trasiego turístico de La Habana Vieja, pero guarda una joya: la Finca Vigía, la casa donde Ernest Hemingway vivió más de veinte años y escribió parte de su obra, hoy museo. El municipio mezcla barrios populares, industria ligera y el barrio de San Francisco de Paula donde estuvo el escritor. It's mostly residential and working-class, without the tourist bustle of Old Havana, but it holds a gem: Finca Vigía, the house where Ernest Hemingway lived for more than twenty years and wrote part of his work, now a museum. The municipality mixes ordinary neighborhoods, light industry and the San Francisco de Paula ward where the writer lived. You come for Hemingway, not for beach or seafront.
