Boma es una ciudad portuaria de la República Democrática del Congo, en la provincia de Kongo Central, sobre el bajo río Congo cerca de su estuario atlántico. El clima es tropical, y sus baobabes centenarios son parte del paisaje y de la memoria de la ciudad.Boma is a port city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Kongo Central province, on the lower Congo River near its Atlantic estuary. It was the capital of the Free State and then the Belgian Congo until 1926, when power moved to Léopoldville (today Kinshasa). From that past it keeps its old port core. The climate is tropical, and its centuries-old baobabs are part of the landscape and the city's memory.
