Bamenda

Bamenda es la principal ciudad de la Región del Noroeste de Camerún, una de las dos regiones anglófonas del país. Se asienta en los grassfields, las tierras altas del oeste camerunés, con un clima fresco gracias a la altitud. La ciudad se reparte entre una parte baja, en torno a la avenida comercial, y el escarpe que sube a la meseta. Es un centro comercial de las tierras altas, aunque desde 2016 la crisis anglófona ha afectado mucho a la región y a los viajes.Bamenda is the main city of Cameroon's Northwest Region, one of the country's two English-speaking regions. It sits in the grassfields, the highlands of western Cameroon, with a cool climate thanks to the altitude. The city is split between a lower part around the commercial avenue and the escarpment rising to the plateau. It's a highland trading center, though since 2016 the Anglophone crisis has heavily affected the region and travel there.
